The Fujitsu Cloud Radio Access Network (C-RAN) + Dynamic Core Evolution system is an edge-to-core optical transport solution designed with wireless service providers in mind.

The Fujitsu Cloud Radio Access Network (C-RAN) + Dynamic Core Evolution system is an edge-to-core optical transport solution designed with wireless service providers in mind. Within this system, the FLASHWAVE 9500 Packet Optical Transport Platform and CDS Micro Packet Optical Transport Platform are combined with the CPRI Transport product line to provide an end-to-end solution from Common Public Radio Interface (CPRI) at remote radio heads (RRH) to point-of-presence (PoP). The NETSMART 1500 Management Systems controls the solution.

The benefits include carrier-grade availability, lower network cost compared to current operation, and flexible last-mile access over dark fiber or E-Band radio. These are achieved by converging the CPRI transport of C-RAN architected service and a ROADM core to transport 4G LTE service from small and macro cell sites.
