Network transparent switch

The FibreXpress network transparent switch supports Fibre Channel networks. The switch contains up to 32 nonblocking Fibre Channel copper or optical-fiber ports via eight media-specific port cards. The unit is configurable to any combination of point-to-point, arbitrated loop or broadcast links, all operating simultaneously. Available as a modular product, it features automatic bypass of inactive ports and remote location control of network topology via a modem.
