Light Brigade opens first Training Academy in Dallas
Light Brigade and Data Center Systems (DCS), with the support of parent company Hexatronic, have opened a Light Brigade Training Academy in Dallas, TX. The first of what is planned to be several training hubs across the U.S. that will complement the facilities at Light Brigade’s headquarters in Kent, WA, the academy hosted its first training course, “OTDR & Testing Deep Dive,” July 6-7.
Light Brigade has delivered fiber-optic training courses for 35 years. In addition to courses in Washington and now Texas, the company offers in-person courses at various facilities internationally as well as online training. Light Brigade also offers custom courses and has partnered with various associations for accredited training, workshops, and training sessions at meetings and conventions.
The company expects to launch another two Training Academies next year. The sites will be designed to offer immersive training via real-world simulations, Light Brigade says. Upcoming courses at the new Dallas site will focus on advanced fiber-optic skills training and fiber-optics skills training for data centers and enterprise networks.
Hexatronic purchased Light Brigade from AFL in 2020 (see "Hexatronic to acquire fiber-optic training company The Light Brigade").
