Pan Dacom Direkt unveils SPEED-MUX 800G pluggable 800-Gbps muxponder card
Pan Dacom Direkt now offers the SPEED-MUX 800G pluggable muxponder card. This latest addition to the SPEED-OTS-5000 portfolio accommodates transmission of up to a pair of 400-Gbps wavelengths.
The SPEED-MUX 800G leverages pluggable CFP2 modules and optional AES 256 Layer 1 encryption to support secure, high-speed transmission. It also can be provided with up to four QSFP28 or four QSFP-DD transceivers to meet customer-specific requirements. The SPEED-MUX 800G muxponder card enables direct aggregation of 100, 200, and 400 Gigabit Ethernet traffic. Fully populated with two 400G line transceivers, these muxponder cards can enable a total of up to 64 DWDM wavelengths, supporting 25.6 Tbps over a single optical fiber.
The use of 800G muxponder cards enable operators to keep pace with the continuing increases in data traffic, which Pan Dacom Kirekt estimates at about 30% annually. Increasing per-wavelength transmission rates also enables the use of fewer infrastructure components and simplifies network architecture and operations, the company adds.
