Transmission system upgrade

The Comlux Series digital fiber-optic transmission system is now DWDM-capable, with the introduction of the Model 2923 DWDM multiplexer and demultiplexer and wavelength-selected lasers. The upgrade allows transmission of up to 256 uncompressed studio-quality (512 medium-haul) video, with associated audio and data channels, at an aggregate data rate of 50 Gbits/sec. The system provides for a mix of video, audio, data, and specialized (i.e., DS-3) transmission. The DWDM option is available in 4-, 8-, 16-, and bidirectional-wavelength channel configurations.
