O band 200 GHz DWDM introduced by AFOP for hybrid fiber-coaxial applications

FEBRUARY 17, 2010 -- Alliance Fiber Optic Products Inc. (AFOP) in Sunnyvale, Calif., is introducing the O band 200 GHz DWDM for hybrid fiber-coaxial (HFC) applications.
This thin film filter (TFF)-based product can be deployed in broadband networks that which combines optical fiber and coaxial cable. It increases the downstream/upstream speed in cable TV systems as well as the flexibility of the network.
The product is available in LGX form factor with four wavelengths total or in single channel for each individual wavelength. Its packaging provides reliability and meets Telcordia GR1209 and GR-1221 qualification.
