August 10, 2006 Fort Worth, TX -- C I Host has deployed a scalable, flexible infrastructure -- featuring MRV's LambdaDriver DWDM optical transport system -- to meet the growth in its optical network.
The system, which cost more than $100,000 to build and connects C I Host's main facility in Bedford, TX, to Dallas's largest telco hotel, located at 2323 Bryan Street, will provide the network agility the company will need to efficiently and cost-effectively support future broadband service developments.
"We are pleased to partner with Xspedius on this mission-critical network," said Christopher Faulkner, CEO of C I Host. "Our significant infrastructure investment in this network and fiber solidifies our attention to the growing needs of our customers."
The new C I Host network integrates WDM, packet, and TDM capabilities on a single platform. That configuration will help reduce both capital and operational costs for operators by supporting true convergence of previously distinct network types.
"The new network enables the instant delivery of rich, high-bandwidth media such as video, music, games, and downloads to globally located audiences of any size," Faulkner said. "This is one more step to provide the best services for our customers and fill the needs of the growing marriage of the entertainment industry and technology."
