Alcatel-Lucent adds Completel to 100-Gbps customer roster

Completel, a provider of fiber-to-the-office services in France, will deploy Alcatel-Lucent’s 100-Gbps capable systems from Alcatel-Lucent (Euronext Paris and NYSE: ALU) on new and existing routes to boost fiber-optic network capacity and performance, the system house has announced.

Completel, a provider of fiber-to-the-office services in France, will deploy Alcatel-Lucent’s 100-Gbps capable systems from Alcatel-Lucent (Euronext Paris and NYSE: ALU) on new and existing routes to boost fiber-optic network capacity and performance, the system house has announced.

Alcatel-Lucent will provide technology from its Converged Backbone Transformation (CBT) IP/optical convergence portfolio, which includes the 1830 Photonic Service Switch. Alcatel-Lucent will also provide Completel with technical supervision and training services.
