Cube Optics Network Cube Products earn RUS acceptance

The Rural Utilities Service (RUS) division of the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) has awarded RD Telecommunications acceptance to the Network Cube line of WDM fiber mux/demux and add/drop multiplexer products from Cube Optics, the German technology developer has announced.

The Rural Utilities Service (RUS) division of the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) has awarded RD Telecommunications acceptance to the Network Cube line of WDM fiber mux/demux and add/drop multiplexer products from Cube Optics, the German technology developer has announced.

Inclusion in the the USDA RUS Technical Standards Committee’s "A" (Telecommunications) List of Materials enables independent operating companies (IOCs) and rural local exchange carriers (RLECs) to use RUS funding to buy the Network Cube products.

Cube Optics says its passive Network Cubes are deployed in more than 30,000 locations worldwide to remedy fiber exhaust; assist service migration of SONET, ATM, or TDM services to Ethernet; or expand mobile backhaul fiber capacity.
