Wusys, an IT service provider in Germany, has deployed Sorrento Networks’ GigaMux 3200 WDM system to deliver high-performance IT offerings and data center connectivity to its customers.

Wusys, an IT service provider in Germany, has deployed Sorrento Networks’ GigaMux 3200 WDM system to deliver high-performance IT offerings and data center connectivity to its customers.

“The GigaMux 3200 provides data center connectivity via Gigabit Ethernet and 8G Fibre Channel connections—one of the first 8G Fibre Channel solutions deployed in the world. This new interface of data center servers will increase bandwidth connections, reduce costs, and reduce wusys’s server footprint area in its data centers,” explains Jim Nevelle, CEO of Sorrento Networks.

“Through this resilient IT WDM solution, wusys can continue to be a market leader in the high-performance communication solutions sector in Germany and Europe. Additional 10 Gigabit services are in the realization phase and will strengthen the service offering to our customers,” says Oliver Menzel, CEO of wusys.”

Wusys, a full-service provider of IT infrastructure throughout Europe, services approximately 120,000 users (1,500 servers) in a variety of industries, including automotive, health care, finance, consulting, public administration, and more. Wusys has one of the most energy-effective data centers in Europe with a PUE rate of 1.3, which provides customers cost-effective, data-center services in a high-end environment.
