Telefónica Data selects Juniper Networks for IP backbone

July 30, 2001--Juniper Networks M160 Internet backbone routers will enable both high-speed Internet access for Telefónica Data's domestic IP network infrastructure and for connections into its international network nodes.

Telefónica Data, the Telefónica Group subsidiary that provides global telecommunications services to enterprises, and Juniper Networks, Inc. (Nasdaq: JNPR), a provider of next-generation Internet Protocol (IP) infrastructure systems, announced that Telefónica Data has selected Juniper Networks technology for its IP backbone. Juniper Networks M160 Internet backbone routers will enable both high-speed Internet access for Telefónica Data's domestic IP network infrastructure and for connections into its international network nodes.
