Genuity selects Juniper Networks for ultra high-speed managed Internet access service

(Nasdaq: JNPR), a provider of next-generation Internet Protocol (IP) infrastructure systems, announced that Genuity (Nasdaq: GENU) has selected Juniper Networks M160 Internet backbone routers to provide smart, scalable, dedicated access services for its Internet Advantage customers.

Leveraging the rate limiting features of Juniper Networks Internet Processor II ASIC, Genuity, a provider of Internet infrastructure services and eBusiness network platforms, offers its customers secure, cost-effective, scalable bandwidth. Genuity's customers can quickly upgrade in increments from OC-12c/STM-4 (622 Mbps) up to OC-48c/STM-16 (2.5 Gbps) speeds as their needs evolve and gain the flexibility of signing up and paying only for the level of service they need.

Genuity's Internet Advantage service connects businesses to the Internet via its tier-one, high-capacity nationwide backbone that uses Juniper Networks OC-192c/STM-64 IP routing technology. The Genuity service also provides a range of operational features to get businesses up and running on the Internet, including enhanced service-level guarantees, end-to-end problem resolution, 24x7 network management, fully managed provisioning, flexible pricing structures, scalable access options, and other advanced features.
