Fiber-optic probes

The Singlemode Fiber SmartProbe attachment for the WireScope 155 high-performance cabling certification system certifies twisted-pair, multimode, and singlemode fiber for use with all high-speed lan standards, including Gigabit Ethernet and atm. This loss meter measures the installed length and propagation delay of singlemode optical fiber. The device provides laser-based power, loss meter, and length-measuring functions at 1310- and 1550-nm wavelengths without using a singlemode otdr. The unit lists for $3995.
