Feb. 12, 2002--New additions to the optical receiver product line of Discovery Semiconductors (Ewing, NJ) were announced today, including a single-ended digital 2-R and differential digital 2-R optical receiver modules.

The low-noise modules target 10-Gigabit applications and can be used with or without Super FEC such as datacom, DWDM systems, SONET/SDH, and short, intermediate, and long haul telecom systems. Both modules feature high sensitivity (-19 dBm typical at 9.9 Gbits/sec).

Four to 6-week delivery is available with a choice of optical input connector and a single-ended type K for the R601, or a dual push-on GPPO/SSMP for the differential model R602 coaxial RF output.
