May 26, 2005 Oslo, Norway -- Telenor, a provider of telecommunications services provider based in Norway, and Transmode, a supplier of optical networking systems, have announced a multi-million Euro frame agreement covering the supply of WDM products to support Telenor's plans for upgrade of its network infrastructure.
Under the terms of the agreement, Transmode will supply its Mentis platform for the build-out of Telenor's CWDM network. According to a press release, a key application for the CWDM network will be to provide the capacity required to backhaul data traffic in Telenor's broadband network.
