April 14, 2005 Sunnyvale, CA -- Alliance Fiber Optic Products (AFOP), a supplier of fiber-optic components, subsystems, and integrated modules, has introduced its line of CWDM duplex patch cords and patch cord sets. The cables are available in nine different color-coded clips, allowing users to color-match connections to different CWDM channels, thereby minimizing misconnections.

The cables can be purchased individually or in a complete, nine-color set. The company says its patch cords are fully intermatable with standard coupling adapter products, delivering high stability under a range of application conditions. According to the company, the connectors' tightly toleranced, pre-radiused Zirconia ferrules ensure low loss and ease of use.

The CWDM patch cords are available in both LC and SC versions. All cords comply with EIA/TIA 455 and 604, IEC, and Telcordia 326 standards for performance and reliability.
