Boldyn Networks was tapped to build a Wi-Fi network for the Greater Columbus Convention Center (GCCC)

The new Wi-Fi 6e-based network will provide high-speed connectivity and increased flexibility for visitors, exhibitors and event organizers.

Boldyn Networks (Boldyn) equips the Greater Columbus Convention Center (GCCC) with a new Wi-Fi 6e network, enabling high-speed connectivity for visitors, exhibitors, and event organizers, enhancing the overall experience at one of the Midwest’s premier convention venues.

By having Boldyn build the Wi-Fi network, GCCC gains improved Wi-Fi connectivity, faster speeds, and a new onsite flexible pricing model that gives the organization more control.

GCCC hosts many events, from large tech conferences to smaller family-focused gatherings. This new pricing model allows for fluctuations in end-user costs based on the type of event, enabling event organizers to manage their relationships with recurring clients better while also providing valuable data insights to strategize on additional revenue growth opportunities for GCCC.

By adding enhanced connectivity to its list of available amenities and services, the venue is poised to attract even larger and more tech-driven events, reinforcing its position as a premier destination for national and international gatherings. Notably, marquis events at the convention center, such as the Arnold Sports Festival & Fitness Weekend, will benefit from these enhanced digital capabilities.

The enhanced infrastructure is now live and available throughout the convention center, improving the experience for all visitors and exhibitors.

This latest deployment reflects the growing momentum Boldyn is having in establishing agreements with various venues. In 2024, Boldyn expanded its partnership with ASM Global, which focused on creating venue operations and revenue generation for the sports, entertainment, attractions, conventions, and leisure industries.

The GCCC Assistant General Manager Ryan Thorpe said the Boldyn connectivity solution ensures “that our visitors have access to the fast and reliable Wi-Fi network they expect.”
