Frontier’s dedication to fiber-based services is not just a consumer phenomenon. Its effort drove revenues in the fourth quarter of 2024, both in its business and wholesale service units.
For the fourth quarter, Frontier reported that overall Business and Wholesale revenue of $692 million increased 9.0% yearly, primarily due to growth in fiber-based products.
Data and internet services growth drove Business and Wholesale fiber revenue to grow 19.8% year-over-year to $333 million, while fiber broadband ARPU of $100.08 increased 1.2% year over year.
During the year, Frontier added 5,000 new customers, up 10.9% year-over-year.
For the year ending December 31, 2024, Frontier’s total business and wholesale revenues increased 5% compared to the prior year.
Frontier said the “increase was driven by increases in fiber broadband and network access services, partially offset by decreases in voice revenue predominantly in business.”
“The increase in fiber broadband was due to continued growth of our customer base and a shift towards higher broadband speeds.” In contrast, the “increase in network access services is due primarily to price adjustments as well as install and upgrade activity.”
