Suzhou Everbright Photonics Co., Ltd: 100Gbps PAM4 VCSEL

Feb. 26, 2025
Everbright’s 100G PAM4 VCSEL array is a vertical cavity surface emitting laser based on GaAs substrate.

With the rapid development of AI machine learning applications, network infrastructure will have to upgrade to 100 Gbps per lane in the coming decade. In short reach <100m data communications, high-speed VCSELs have large proportions of market share. At the same time, limitations on both VCSEL and MMF bandwidth make it a challenge to maintain the traditional 100m reach of MMF links. Everbright’s 100G PAM4 VCSEL array is a vertical cavity surface emitting laser based on GaAs substrate with a central wavelength of 850nm, which is used in Optical communication applications for 100 Gbps PAM4 multimode fiber link transmission.
JUDGE'S COMMENT: "Everbright is poised to help meet the demand for modules that will support 800G over multimode and simplify the designs for modules at lower transmission rates because it's among the first to bring a 100G VCSEL to market."
