Advanced Fiber Resources has introduced nonlinear 2D Fiber Array Units (FAUs) developed through specialized design and manufacturing processes. These FAUs achieve waveguide matching and effectively improve coupling efficiency. This advancement strengthens optical path stability, contributing to higher performance in wavelength selective switching (WSS) applications. AFR's 2D FAU integrates a hermetic feedthrough, simplifying sealing requirements and reducing design complexity and customer sealing costs.
