PacketLight Networks’ PL-8000M 1.6T Muxponder is a high-capacity, modular solution for rolling out 100 GbE, 400 GbE, and 800 GbE services or expanding network capacity. This 1U chassis device includes dual 800G transponders/muxponders and integrates mux/demux, EDFA, and an optical switch. The compact footprint is low power consumption and reduces cost per bit, driving operational savings. Its pay-as-you-grow architecture facilitates scalable network growth, minimizing upfront costs and aligning investments with demand. Full interoperability with third-party switches and routers enables new revenue streams through high-capacity services for enterprise, AI, and cloud applications. The PL-8000M supports secure and seamless connectivity with robust Layer-1 AES-256 encryption, compliant with FIPS-140-3.
