Wesco wraps acquisition of Ascent, advancing its data center capabilities
Wesco has completed its acquisition of Ascent, a data center facility management service provider. This acquisition gives Wesco a broader set of tools to serve this growing market segment.
The company initially announced its plans to acquire Ascent in late October.
Known for its specialized data center facility and property management services, Ascent reported $115 million in trailing twelve-month sales as of June 30 and a three-year sales compound annual growth rate above 30%.
With more than 300 employees in the U.S. and Canada, Ascent provides a full suite of site operations services, including staffing, facility-wide maintenance, critical systems repairs, 24x7 emergency services, management of third-party maintenance workflows and advanced liquid cooling solutions.
Another key element of Ascent is its proprietary Navigator platform, which provides an integrated client dashboard to support critical infrastructure and facilities.
Bill Geary, EVP and General Manager for Wesco Communications and Security Solutions said Ascent “further extends our end-to-end service offerings for the data center — including advanced liquid cooling solutions — and adds significant capabilities to our portfolio of software and services to power business results and efficiencies for our customers.”
