Rise Broadband establishes Missouri foothold with MidAtlantic fiber asset acquisition

Nov. 5, 2024
The acquisition adds 10K customers to the hybrid fiber and broadband wireless provider’s coffers.

Rise Broadband, a provider of broadband services across 16 states, today announced it has acquired MidAtlantic Broadband’s fiber-to-the-home (FTTH) broadband/internet business in Missouri.

Operating under the Yondoo Broadband brand, MidAtlantic Broadband’s business in Missouri adds nearly 10,000 residential and commercial locations across eight markets in the eastern part of the State.

By making this acquisition, Rise Broadband will now provide service in the Missouri cities of Kahoka, Canton, La Grange, Bowling Green, Elsberry, Potosi, Belle, and Bland.

All homes passed in these areas are serviceable with fiber broadband service.

Jim O’Brien, Chief Executive Officer of Rise Broadband, said that the provider plans to “continue investing in providing broadband solutions across the state.”

Network expansion is a key priority for Rise Broadband. In addition to entering the Missouri market, Rise Broadband announced it would build out FTTH services to over 2,500 homes and businesses throughout Devine, Texas.
