The broadband and optical industry witnessed shifts in management ranks, with CableOne, Charter, Clearfield, Data Dynamics and MicroCare naming new leaders.

Cable One taps Morky to lead residential services
Cable industry veteran Anthony Mokry has joined Cable One as SVP of Residential Services. Coming to the new position with 25 years of telecom industry experience, Mokry will lead the company’s marketing initiatives, focusing on strategy development, product innovation, and managing its residential customer base to drive profitable growth with a customer-first approach. Before joining Cable One, Mokry served as VP and Chief Marketing Officer for Cricket Wireless, a subsidiary of AT&T. Before Cricket Wireless, he held various senior positions at AT&T, including VP of Gulf States and Associate Vice President of retail Markets. Mokry holds a bachelor’s degree in executive management from DePaul University.

Charter’s Ray adds Spectrum Enterprise to his responsibilities
Adam Ray, Charter’s EVP and Chief Commercial Officer, will oversee the Spectrum Enterprise operation in addition to his current responsibilities. Bill Archer, Executive Vice President and President of Spectrum Enterprise, a 35-year telecommunications veteran, will transition to an advisory role with Ray until his retirement in 2025. Ray oversees the residential and SMB marketing and sales functions, including direct and digital sales channels, inbound and outbound telesales, Spectrum Stores, and Spectrum Community Solutions, which provides products and services to apartments, condos, and gated single-family community developments. He also leads cable operations, business planning, marketing, and sales analytics.  Ray has held several increasingly senior leadership positions at Charter, most recently as EVP of Sales Operations and Planning, and before that was EVP of Spectrum Community Solutions.

Clearfield names Anis Khemakhem as CMO; Morgan becomes executive advisor to CEO
Clearfield has appointed Anis Khemakhem as Chief Marketing Officer (CMO), effective January 1, 2025. Khemakhem, who joined Clearfield earlier this year as VP of Global Technology Platforms, brings over 25 years of industry experience and diverse leadership skills. Khemakhem will drive the company’s marketing strategy, spearhead efforts to expand into new markets, and identify new product opportunities to support business growth initiatives within and beyond the Company’s community broadband marketplace and global adoption of its technology footprint. In this role, Khemakhem aims to further strengthen Clearfield’s market leadership by enhancing customer engagement and accelerating the development and rollout of innovative fiber solutions, mainly as Broadband Equity, Access, and Deployment (BEAD) funding is being allocated.

Kevin Morgan, who has served as Clearfield’s CMO since 2016, will transition into the newly created role of Executive Advisor to the CEO, continuing to contribute to the company’s growth and industry leadership. In this role, Morgan will maintain Clearfield’s connection with the Fiber Broadband Association (FBA), supporting public policy efforts while representing Clearfield at select industry conferences and authoring articles for industry-leading publications.

Data Dynamics names Elias Mendoza as President and CEO
Data Dynamics, an enterprise data management software provider, has appointed Elias Mendoza President and CFO. Elias will work with the management team to align the company's strategic activities to its financial plan, drive efficiencies across operations, and promote a culture of innovation and high performance, ensuring the firm's economic resilience and operational excellence. With over 25 years of diverse leadership experience in global strategy, scaling operations, investment banking, and corporate development—particularly in the infrastructure and data technology sectors—Elias will play a key role in setting up Data Dynamics for growth, especially following the launch of Zubin, the firm's AI-powered self-service data management platform. Most recently, Elias served as Partner and COO at Siris Capital, a tech and telecom-focused private equity firm, where he continues to serve as an Executive Partner. He held senior positions at Union Square Advisors, Morgan Stanley and IBM.

Fiber industry veteran Vander Ploeg lands at MicroCare
MicroCare recently named Tyler Vander Ploeg as a key account manager for its fiber division. His experience in the fiber-optic market includes two decades at VIAVI Solutions, where he drove strategic business development, managing fiber-optic products, and executing global marketing programs. His role at MicroCare focuses on strengthening relationships with existing clients, finding new business opportunities, and working closely with the product development team to ensure the Sticklers brand of cleaning tools and fluids meets the highest quality and performance standards.
