Lightwave+BTR to lead MEF GNE analyst roundtable panel

Oct. 10, 2024
Industry analysts will address critical challenges and opportunities related to network as a service (NaaS).

During the Global Network-as-a-Service Event (GNE) in Dallas later this month, Lightwave+BTR Editor in Chief Sean Buckley will lead a roundtable discussion with a group of noted industry analysts who will share their perspectives on the key takeaways from the GNE and what to look for next in terms of the evolving network as a service (NaaS) landscape.

The panel will include:

  • Rosemary Cochran, principal and co-founder of Vertical Systems Group
  • Grant Lenahan, partner and principal analyst for Appledore Research Group
  • Ray Mota, CEO and principal analyst of ACG Research
  • Charlie Reed, Partner, ATLANTIC-ACM

NaaS has continued to gain interest among service providers and enterprises.

It presents a new-paradigm solution by combining on-demand connectivity, application assurance, cybersecurity, and multi-cloud-based services delivered across a standards-based automated ecosystem of partners.

MEF has made NaaS a key priority. The organization has created an industry collaborative effort to create a standard blueprint for understanding and further defining NaaS.

It recently issued a white paper called the NaaS Customer Experience. It provides users and providers of NaaS (Network-as-a-Service) offerings with a neutral baseline description of service features.
