Vecima: Entra® EN9000 GAP Node

Sept. 25, 2024

Vecima’s EN9000 is an 1.8 GHz DAA node that meets SCTE Generic Access Platform (GAP) compliance standards (ANSI/SCXTE 273 202). The EN9000 is designed to support 1.8 GHz operation in support of DOCSIS 4.0 and standardized modules from different manufacturers to interoperate within the same node. Operators can add new services and functions through software upgrades or in field modules with minimal customer disruptions. Operators can deploy R-PHY, PON, small cell, wireless, and other technologies without cutting or swapping the node housing. Vecima  announced in February that its GAP node was certified in a North American Tier 1 network.

JUDGE’S COMMENT: “Vecima has always met the requirements of the standards committees; getting this market ready is a great step.”
