Unraveling the market perception of the BEAD broadband program

Sept. 12, 2024
A new Endeavor Business Media (EBM) scorecard captures perceptions of the NTIA’s once-in-a-lifetime broadband program.

Since the National Telecommunications and Information Administration published the first details of more than $42 billion of funding opportunities under the Broadband Equity Access and Deployment (BEAD), states have prepared to use the new funds to extend broadband to more areas.

Using the Endeavor Business Intelligence always-on social listening market intelligence platform, we recently released a Topic Scorecard capturing perceptions of BEAD.

According to the research team’s results, there’s still a lot of room to shape opinions and stake a major claim to thought and market leadership as the program matures. As more states get their BEAD proposals approved by the NTIA, states and service providers will be able to move forward with plans to extend broadband into hard-to-reach areas that have had few, if any, broadband options.
