Bluebird Network Welcomes Travis Noble as Chief Revenue Officer
Bluebird Network has tapped 31-year telecom veteran Travis Noble as the new Chief Revenue Officer. Noble previously served as Senior Vice President of Enterprise, K-12 and Government Sales at Unite Private Networks/Segra. In that position, Noble managed sales activities across the West, Midwest, Mid-Atlantic, Southeast and Texas. During his nine-year tenure, the company realized significant growth across its footprint. Earlier, Noble operated as the Vice President and General Manager of both Level 3 Communications and TW Telecom after spending time with MCI Communications. He earned a Bachelor of Arts from Iowa State University.
Boston Omaha Broadband Promotes J. Max Meisinger as President and CEO of its Broadband Division
Boston Omaha Corporation has promoted J. Max Meisinger, Chief Financial Officer of Boston Omaha Broadband (BOB), as BOB's President and Chief Executive Officer. BOB provides broadband services to over 44,000 subscribers in Arizona and Utah communities and provides broadband services to large-scale new home developments in Florida and other states. Steve McGhie, who joined Boston Omaha Broadband in 2020 when Boston Omaha acquired Utah Broadband, is stepping down as CEO to spend time with his family and pursue personal interests. He will serve as a consultant to Boston Omaha Broadband.
Since Meisinger was named BOB’s Chief Financial Officer in 2022, he has been instrumental in developing expansion plans for BOB. Meisinger joined Boston Omaha in May of 2019, serving initially as Corporate Controller before being promoted to Chief Accounting Officer. Earlier, Meisinger worked for KPMG as a Senior Manager of its Kansas City audit practice. He served diverse clients ranging from large public FORTUNE 500 companies to small start-ups throughout various industries. He is a licensed CPA and received his B.S. in Business and Masters in Accounting from the University of Kansas.
Astound Broadband names Comcast alumn Toni Murphy as EVP, Chief Operating Officer
Astound Broadband has tapped Toni Murphy to be EVP and Chief Operating Officer. Murphy has more than 20 years of experience in the cable and telecommunications industry. She joined Astound from Comcast, serving in leadership positions, most recently as CMO and SVP, and sales and marketing in the Atlanta-based Central Division. Earlier, she was the Senior Vice President/General Manager for the Keystone Region based in Pittsburgh, PA.
At Astound, Murphy will oversee the company's daily operations and set strategic direction for its continued success. She replaces Astound’s former Chief Operating Officer, Chris Fenger, who recently retired after serving over 13 years in that role. Murphy received her bachelor’s degree from Princeton University in French and Economics. She has received numerous awards, including the CableFax Diversity List, which honors the top 100 diverse leaders in the cable and media industry, the Power 100 list of City and State of Pennsylvania, and Women of Distinction by Girl Scouts of Western Pennsylvania.
