Congruex names cable industry veteran Portfolio as CTO
Congruex, a national end-to-end provider of digital network services, has bolstered its leadership team by appointing Shane Portfolio as its Chief Technology Officer. He comes to the role with 30 years of industry experience leading large-scale technology, transformation, and engineering operations at various network companies. His most recent role as SVP of Network Engineering and Technology at Charter Communications, where he oversaw the architecture and engineering for Charter's core access network infrastructure, is a testament to his leadership in the industry. Before his tenure at Charter, Portfolio spent 26 years as a senior executive at Comcast.

FTTH Council Europe names Roshene McCool as its new president
The FTTH Council Europe recently elected Roshene McCool as its new president, taking over the role from Raf Meersman. She will begin a term as the head of the organization. As president of FTTH Council Europe, McCool will support the Board of Directors, Committees, and Working Group to ensure Europe has an optimal regulatory environment. McCool also serves as a Senior Market and Technology Development Manager for Corning.
 

Telecom veteran Tim Medina takes on CFO role at GTT
GTT is freshening its top management ranks again, naming 25-year telecom veteran Tim Medina as the company’s CFO. Medina will lead GTT’s global finance group, which includes financial operations, billing, investor relations, banking and advisory relationships. Medina has experience as a CFO in private and public companies in the US and internationally. His experience spans various financial areas, including strategy, capital markets, mergers and acquisitions, and risk management across industries such as managed services, communications, information technology and software as a service (SaaS).

Before coming to GTT, he served as the CFO and EVP at Stride and TPx Communications. He also spent 15 years as CFO and EVP of IWO, Verizon, and CTI Movil. Over the past 25 years, he has led and executed over 20 acquisitions, business transformations, raising capital, and developing a reputation for talent development by nurturing teams. Medina holds a master’s degree from the McDonough School of Business at Georgetown University and a bachelor’s degree from the Elliott School of International Affairs at George Washington University.

Quantifi Photonics promotes co-founder Iannick Monfils to CEO
Quantifi Photonics has chosen CTO and co-founder Dr. Iannick Monfils as the new CEO. Since co-founding Quantifi Photonics in 2012, Monfils has led the company’s engineering team and expanded its advanced product portfolio. His 23 years of experience in the photonics and telecommunications industry, including supporting the launch of the first commercial long-haul coherent transceivers at Nortel, make him a trusted leader. His work on coherent signal DSP was crucial to launching Quantifi Photonics’ test solutions for optical modulation analysis. He has brought to market dozens of products while working closely with customers, partners, and suppliers to address future technology and market needs.

Teleste ups Condra to VP of North America, CEO of Teleste Intercept
Teleste has promoted cable and telecom industry veteran Steve Condra as the new VP of Teleste North America and CEO of Teleste Intercept. With over four decades of experience in the outside plant communications industry, Condra brings a wealth of knowledge and leadership to the team. His career began with AT&T and Lucent Technologies, where he honed his skills in outside plant communications. He later joined Scientific Atlanta and Cisco, further solidifying his expertise in the telecommunications industry. Condra has been a part of the Teleste team for the past six years, contributing to the company's growth in North America.
