In this latest issue of Building Broadband, we’re tracking new deployments from All West Communications, Comporium, TDS Telecom, and WOW.
All West Communications connects 30K homes to 8 Gig service
Following its recent fiber network expansion project, All West Communications has extended its 8 Gbps service to 30,000 homes on the Wasatch Front in Utah. The expansion prioritized growth in areas where community-wide fiber connectivity was needed, including Farmington, Tooele, Herriman, and the Ogden area. Besides making internet service available to residential areas in Ogden, All West’s construction project has turned the corner to bring new broadband options to even more addresses. The installation of mainline connections is now being expanded to mixed-use locations and commercial zones in the county, offering fiber internet service to local businesses.

This project allows customers to access internet speeds of up to 1 Gbps. These recently connected addresses represent the second phase of a multi-phase project. This part of the project required nearly $292,000 of investment. Comporium recently invested almost $155,000 to expand its fiber optic network on the southern side of Ridge Spring. Comporium has indicated that it’s not finished with its expansion projects in the Ridge Spring area. The company is finalizing plans now to build fiber to even more addresses in the area and plans to begin construction in the coming weeks.
