Tahoe Network Infrastructure extends the reach of its Marion, Wis E-Rate fiber network
Tahoe Network Infrastructure, the parent company of E-Vergent, has expanded its recent E-Rate network win in Marion, Wisconsin, where the service provider will build fiber network facilities for a local school.
By establishing anchor tenants like local schools via E-Rate, E-Vergent can not only provide more compelling educational opportunities with access to digital resources; they can also have a starting point to attract other parts of a community to leverage their fiber network platform.
Known for its expertise in building open access fiber networks, E-Vergent will now extend its reach to serve more communities, businesses, and institutions in the region.
Tahoe Network Infrastructure has grown rapidly. Since acquiring E-Vergent, the management team has doubled E-Vergent’s fiber miles over the last year.
Greg Green, the original co-founder and CEO of Fatbeam, “said he took a page out of Fatbeam’s E Rate playbook, which he created during his tenure there. Which had great success and plans on further E-Rate expansion over the upcoming years with E-Vergent.” Green and his partner later sold Fatbeam to Basalt Infrastructure Partners LLC for a quarter billion dollars in the spring of 2023.
This expansion marks a significant milestone for Tahoe Network Infrastructure, part of a broader plan to extend services into more parts of the Midwest that lacked options for competitively priced fiber network services.
