Zayo Group has tapped long-time Vodafone executive Colman Deegan as its new CEO of Zayo Europe. Deegan will aim to drive business growth as cloud and AI adoption continues across the continent.
Deegan spent over two decades at Vodafone, where he held senior leadership positions such as Group M&A Director, CFO at Vodafone India and Italy, and CEO of Vodafone Turkey.
Most recently, as Vodafone Spain’s CEO, he led a successful operational turnaround in one of the most competitive markets.
“Zayo is a leading player in the European market, providing top-tier connectivity through its best-in-class fiber network,” said Colman Deegan, CEO at Zayo Europe. “It’s an exciting time for the digital infrastructure sector given Zayo’s latest investments in Europe and the significant growth opportunities that lay ahead.”
Zayo continues to enhance its fiber network across major European locations.
In January, Zayo announced it was extending access to 100G connectivity to thousands of businesses throughout Europe thanks to its near-net expansion, quickly and easily connecting organizations in close proximity to its fiber infrastructure.
This new network extension will create new connectivity options for businesses across the Netherlands, Germany, France, the United Kingdom, and Ireland. It will also provide high-speed network solutions that meet evolving IT infrastructure needs.
