THORLABS launches handheld optical power meters

According to the company, the portable PM100 series is ideal for precision optical power measurements in the 5-nW to 30-W power range and 250-nm to 0.6-μ m wavelength range.

According to the company, the portable PM100 series is ideal for precision optical power measurements in the 5-nW to 30-W power range and 250-nm to 0.6-μ m wavelength range.

A wide selection of separate photodiode and thermal sensor heads and the option of fiber connection make it a great choice for a multitude of uses. The handheld device features an ergonomic keypad and a high-resolution LCD graphic display that allows four different display modes. The smart sensor detector automatically calibrates the device to the connected sensor head, making it easy to switch sensors.

The PM100 series, including the customer's choice of sensor head, is priced between $998 and $1562, depending on the sensor model selected.
