20-GHz-BANDWIDTH OPTICAL RECEIVER

June 1, 2000

The Model DSC-R401ER is an amplified optical receiver with typical bandwidth of 100 kHz to 20 GHz. The fiber-coupled photodetectors are targeted at telecommunication OC-192/STM-64 systems using the return-to-zero format with forward error correction. The InGaAs PIN and preamplifier provide front-end bandwidth that exceeds the bit rate of 12.3 Gbit/s by 50% along with 100 V/W and 2 Vp-p linear output.
