Cooperative pact

Two Canadian companies, Spectran Specialty Optics Co. of Montreal and QPS Technology, of Dorval, Quebec, have entered into a cooperative agreement to develop the marketplace for Bragg gratings. Spectran and QPS plan to develop custom fiber products to enhance the manufacturability and performance of these devices.

In another agreement, Spectran Specialty Optics of Avon, CT, and Toray Industries Inc. of Japan have signed a major distribution agreement. Spectran Specialty plans to provide nationwide sales and support of Toray`s plastic optical fiber.
