Silica-silica fibers

Ultrasil high numerical aperture silica-silica fibers serve power delivery and sensing applications. Fibers provide high numerical aperture for improved coupling efficiency and decreasing bending loss sensitivity. They feature low OH content and transmission to 2.1 microns and can be drawn to core sizes from 100 to 600 microns. A variety of coatings can be applied to suit specific applications: HCS for high strength, low fatigue and biocompatibility; and Procoat polyimide for temperatures greater than 300°C.
