6 NOVEMBER 2008 -- Transmode and its Czech Republic-based VAR partner RLC say that Sloane Park Property Trust, a Czech wholesale operator, has deployed Transmode TS-Series CWDM access networks across the Czech Republic.

Sloane Park is a national wholesale operator that specializes in telecommunications, IP connect, and data transit services. The company provides services to all major service providers and cable TV providers within the territory over its own national fibre-optic network built along oil pipeline and railway infrastructure. The Transmode TS-Series deployments will provide Sloane Park with the ability to support 10-Gigabit Ethernet over CWDM access.

"Sloane Park already has an extensive national network but required a xWDM access solution that was better optimized for the edge of our network for new customer connections," said Lubomir Otec, Sloane Park's CTO. "We required a carrier-class solution for 10-Gigabit Ethernet over CWDM access that provided smaller footprint, lower cost, and lower ongoing operational cost, while not compromising on scalability and functionality. Transmode's TS-Series was the perfect match for these requirements, and the low-power design helps the company lower operational costs and to reduce our environmental impact".

"As the major wholesale carrier in the region, Sloane Park is at the forefront of innovative network design and we are extremely pleased to be announcing Sloane Park as another new customer within the region, in conjunction with our local partner RLC." said Björn Andersson, Transmode's VP sales.
