Roger J. Heinz to lead Tellabs' global sales and services

AUGUST 25, 2008 -- Tellabs has named Roger J. Heinz executive vice president of global sales and services, effective September 15.

AUGUST 25, 2008 -- Tellabs has named Roger J. Heinz executive vice president of global sales and services, effective September 15. Heinz has more than 20 years of experience, primarily at Alcatel-Lucent and its predecessors. He will be responsible for sales and services globally and will lead key growth initiatives and new business development and strategies. Heinz will head Tellabs' Global Sales and Services organization of more than 1100 people, which is focused on mobile and fixed-line service providers.

Heinz recently served at Alcatel-Lucent as president of the IP-NGN core business unit and has held a series of leadership positions, including sales, marketing, and business development.
