NASA fiber optics contract

NASA has selected Broadband Communications Products Inc., Melbourne, FL, to supply more than 250 variable-rate fiber-optic modems to the Goddard Space Flight in Greenbelt, MD. Valued at more than $500,000, the NASA contract also includes an option for 100 additional modems. Broadband`s fiber-optic modems will replace NASA`s existing campuswide Interbuilding Data Transmission System at Goddard Space Flight Center with dedicated optical fiber data links.
