Chipset

The HDMP-1012/1014 gigabit-link chipset is used in bus and backplane extenders to replace parallel ribbon cables, as well as for video distribution and in point-to-point data links. The chipset has a maximum serial data rate of 1.8 gigabaud and accepts unrestricted parallel data of 16, 17, 20 or 21 bits into the transmitter. When combined with multiplexing/demultiplexing integrated circuits, the chipset can be used in double frame mode to transmit 32- or 40-bit wide data.
