Laser transmitter

Model 420A distributed-feedback laser reference transmitter generates a fiber-coupled Sonet/SDH-compliant optical output for reproduction receiver and system proof-of-performance testing. The optical output eye pattern conforms to CCITT G.957 standards at ranges from OC-1 to OC-48, and from STM-1 to STM-16. The bench-top transmitter accepts digital and analog inputs for direct laser modulation to more than 2.5 Gbits/sec. The instrument is available in 1310- and 1550-nm versions.
