Fiber-optic connector

The E-2000 fiber-optic connector has integrated protective caps that engage automatically to shield a ferrule from dust and scratches. It includes a mating adapter with tracks to guide the ferrule into the alignment sleeve, preventing sleeve breakage. Singlemode and multimode convex polished units typically yield an insertion loss of 0.2 dB and a reflectance of at least -40 dB. The connector automatically shields personnel from laser radiation.
