Interface specifications

General Instrument Corp., Chicago, in an effort to converge four emerging industry standards, has announced the availability of its open interface specification from video servers to Digicipher II networks. The standards are synchronous optical network, asynchronous transfer mode, Moving Picture Experts Group-2 and Digicipher II. The company also plans to introduce the Digicipher II Integrated Transport Encryption Multiplexer in 1995.
