LAN products pact

A strategic marketing alliance will supply users with a passive local area network infrastructure backed by a 15-year warranty. The system provides customers with warranted fiber-optic media and hardware for their physical networking applications. The alliance includes 3M Telecom Systems Division, Digital Equipment Corp. and General Instrument`s Commscope Network Cable Division. The alliance integrates the three companies` products into Digital`s Open Decconnect passive wiring system and will support LAN wiring from the riser backbone to the work area throughout an entire campus network.
