C-COR.net selected as equipment and service supplier for cable TV project in Switzerland

May 16, 2001--C-COR.net announced that Cable-TV-Bödeli AG, a cable operator with headquarters in Interlaken, Switzerland, has selected C-COR.net as the exclusive supplier of equipment and services for its network upgrades in Jungfrauarea, Switzerland.

C-COR.net (Nasdaq: CCBL) announced that Cable-TV-Bödeli AG, a cable operator with headquarters in Interlaken, Switzerland, has selected C-COR.net as the exclusive supplier of equipment and services for its network upgrades in Jungfrauarea, Switzerland. C-COR.net will provide headend/hub optical products, fiber optical nodes, and amplifiers, as well as element network management, in support of Cable-TV- Bödeli's implementation of advanced voice, video, and data services over the upgraded network. Upon its completion, the project will encompass one of the longest fiber systems in Switzerland with 75 kilometers of optical length.

Installed at approximately 11,500 feet in the Jungfrau Mountain Region of Switzerland, C-COR.net equipment for the Cable-TV- Bödeli project will include the I-Flex II modular fiber optic node which incorporates a network management agent based on the emerging SCTE (Society of Cable Telecommunications Engineers) HMS (Hybrid Management Sub-Layer) standards for monitoring selected parameters, as well as C-COR.net's modular, high-performance optical communications products such as 1550 nm fiber optic transmitters, erbium doped fiber amplifiers (EDFAs), return path transmitters, return path receivers, and optical couplers and decouplers. C-COR.net's Cable Network Manager (CNM), which supports standard SNMP messaging and transponders based on the emerging HMS standards, will provide element network management for the system.

C-COR.net's local distributor, CNT AG, will support the Cable-TV-Bödeli project with logistics service, warranty and repair, equipment stocking, training, and customer support.
