Oct. 31, 2001--OPNET Technologies Inc. has reached a multimillion dollar agreement with Global Crossing Ltd. that includes software licenses of OPNET's new SP Guru product and professional services.

OPNET Technologies Inc. has reached a multimillion dollar agreement with Global Crossing Ltd. that includes software licenses of OPNET's new Service Provider (SP) Guru product and professional services.

Working with a systems integrator, OPNET is delivering an SP Guru-based solution designed to optimize capital expenditures and provide continuous process improvement for Global Crossing. SP Guru builds on the 8.0 release of OPNET's core technology, adding features for configuration troubleshooting, change validation, predictive planning, and design optimization. SP Guru will be extended to import Global Crossing's demand forecast and inventory information.

"The OPNET software will play a crucial role in optimizing capex, as well as recommending specific network program plans to meet the demand forecast."
