Tyco appoints Cabletel as Canadian distributor

Mar. 15, 2001--Cabletel Communications Corporation announced that Tyco Electronics Canada Ltd., a copper and fiber optic structured cabling manufacturer, has appointed Cabletel Technologies as an Enterprise distributor in Canada of Tyco's Netconnect product line.

Cabletel Communications Corporation (AMEX:TTV, TSE:TTV) announced that Tyco Electronics Canada Ltd., a copper and fiber optic structured cabling manufacturer, has appointed Cabletel Technologies as an Enterprise distributor in Canada of Tyco's Netconnect product line.

Tyco Electronics Canada Ltd. is a subsidiary of Tyco International Ltd. (NYSE:TYC). Cabletel Technologies, a growing division of Cabletel, offers products and support to companies using and installing equipment to move large amounts of data.

The agreement with Tyco Electronics Canada Ltd. Will allow Cabletel Technologies to offer new products to existing customers while creating relationships with new customers.
