January 23, 2003--WilTel Communications has finalized a deal with China Telecom to sell partial capacity interest in the China US Submarine Cable Network, equivalent to 29 half-circuit STM-1s of telecom capacity.

WilTel Communications has finalized a deal with China Telecom to sell partial capacity interest in the China US Submarine Cable Network, equivalent to 29 half-circuit STM-1s of telecom capacity.

The agreement allows China Telecom to increase its capacity between the United States and China to meet its increased demand for voice, data, Internet, and video services in China.
