Fast Ethernet switch

The CrossFire 8420 Fast Ethernet switch has 24 auto-sensing 10/100- Mbit/sec ports. The switch delivers a maximum forwarding rate of more than 3,600,000 pps (2.4 Gbits/sec). It has 12 Mbytes of buffer memory for supporting high-volume traffic and supports more than 8000 mac addresses. The switch incorporates a backplane architecture that provides 4 Gbits/sec of aggregate throughput. Individual front-panel leds display the status of each port, indicating activity and link status.
