atm network termination unit

The hunt 7100 network termination unit includes traffic shaping, lan extension services, and wan priorities in a stand-alone unit. Traffic shaping adapts the customer`s atm traffic to the provider`s traffic contract prior to transmission rather than dropping or tagging non-conforming cells. The lan extension services provide Ethernet and Fast Ethernet uplinks over a modular atm wan trunk, which can start at a 2-Mbit/sec T1/E1 link and grow with user demand up to a 155-Mbit/sec oc-3/stm-1 link with field- replaceable atm-line interface modules. The wan priorities feature allows the customer to specify priorities within quality of service classes.
